Well folks, since my last post I’ve been rather busy writing copy for and optimising my new websites, designed to promote the wonderful products sold by Cashburners.com.

Unfortunately, the original site – topproducts – hit the rocks in a bad way when the hosting company suffered a complete server failure. Like a fool, I hadn’t backed up my site on my own PC, and did all the work on it online, so, it was all lost and I had to start again from scratch. Every cloud has a silver lining though; while that site was down I worked on another template and recorded my first sale with Cashburners on the new template.

Now I have three websites up selling CB products, all getting plenty of traffic and all converting thanks to the quality of my sales copy!

The sales are rolling in nicely now (once you know what you’re doing, CB’s products are actually quite easy to push and convert pretty well) leaving me free to move on to other projects.

Like a lot of people, I’ve learned about earning money online the hard way – by failing. By making slap-dash decisions, by being unable to cut through the bullshit that fill people’s squeeze pages (that’s what they’re for, after all) by putting up amateurish sites or taking free templates from affiliate marketing companies and not making them unique.

I suppose it’s one of the fun things about trying to earn online – the fact that you’re always learning, and that when you do try hard and put the things you learn in to practice, things really start to pay off, and then it becomes really satisfying and your earlier failures actually seem quite funny.

So, a new project for me was to write my first e-book.

I decided the book should be aimed at beginners who are likely to make the same mistakes I did, and to teach them how to avoid making them!

And because most beginners either don’t have any budget, or are unwilling to spend any money, the book tells people how to get started without paying a penny.

Having been a member of Cashburners for some time now, and having found it relatively easy to sell their products (one must swallow a little pride in order to promote herbal remedies and natural ‘pharmaceuticals’, but the conversion rates of these products make my pride a very cheap commodity) I decided to take the plunge and go all out to promote their full range of products.

Like that one? Of course you do. And its one of the cleaner ones.

So I mentioned I’d gone all out for pushing the rest of the CB range – I’ve now swallowed all of my pride in order to promote everything they sell, and have just launched a new site, on their free hosting service. They call it the ‘Cashburners CMS’, and it’s basically an online store template in which you can choose to promote any or all of the CB products. I’ve gone for all, which makes it a little trickier to build enough backlinks or even to choose the right category on directories, as some products fall into ‘health’, some perhaps ‘lifestyle’ and some are decidedly ‘adult’! Of course, most directories refuse submissions from sites with ANY adult oriented content, so you have to take the extra time to find adult niche directories if you choose to promote those products.

So say hello to the latest addition to my portfolio – Top Products (and no that isn’t the keyword anchor text I’m going to be chasing, before you think I’m completely insane) unless you’re under 18, in which case don’t.

Pushing these new products opens up a whole new range of seedy money-making options, and of course once you’ve sold enough pride to push adult products, it’s but a short step to selling your soul to the green-backed god by joining adult affiliate programs.

Mine is gone, and I’ve just joined the wonderful and ubiquitous Adult Friend Finder affiliate program. Shame on me.

I started using The Free Traffic System at the beginning of November last year, after a Google search for ‘free automated backlinks’ led me to the site. The Free Traffic Systems allows you to submit an article to up to thirty blogs and include two backlinks per article to any website or webpage of your choice.

Now after using it for around 6 weeks I have seen great results and decided to write this short article as a review, to explain how it has helped me to improve my SERPs and thus drive a lot more organic traffic to my sites. I began by posting two or three articles per day on The Free Traffic System. Take a look at the training videos they provide on their web site showing you the easy step by step directions about how to use the system to build potentially unlimited free backlinks to your sites. It is advisable to ’spin’ every article to make each submission appear original and thus less likely to fall foul of the dreaded duplicate content pemalty. The Free Traffic System allows you to use ’spinning’ syntax (the [spin] [/spin] tag) so that you can spin articles and their titles without having to purchase spinning software. If you’re not sure how this works, the training videos they provide give you easy to follow instructions.

The Free Traffic System ensures that backlinks grow naturally and in a way that search engines will not find suspicious. It doesn’t post to all 30 blogs at once after you submit your article to the website; instead, they will slowly feed out your article over the course of several days until it has been posted on all the blogs you selected. This prevents the risk of having a sudden flood of backlinks to your site, which may look suspiciously spammy to search engines.

The Free Traffic System works incredibly well, and though you will not see results overnight (it does after all take time for the search engines to index new sites, then to recognise new links to it) I have personally seen a significant improvement in SERPs for several of my sites, as a direct result of using the site. The great thing is that you can choose the anchor text for your links, which allows you to focus on any keyword phrase you like. Of course, the more competitive your niche and choice of keyword thread, the more backlinks you will need to rank highly in search results. You may also use one ‘tag’ per article, which provides search engines with another way to categorise your article, and hence the links contained within it.

Because I am chasing very competitive keywords and therefore need a lot more backlinks, I decided to upgrade to pro membership after a few weeks. As a pro member, you may submit unlimited articles, each of which can contain three links, and tag each article with five tags. Pro members are also awarded ‘bonus’ links and an extra link contained in their tags, making each article submitted worth up to 120 backlinks.
