CashBurners

Well folks, since my last post I’ve been rather busy writing copy for and optimising my new websites, designed to promote the wonderful products sold by Cashburners.com.

Unfortunately, the original site – topproducts – hit the rocks in a bad way when the hosting company suffered a complete server failure. Like a fool, I hadn’t backed up my site on my own PC, and did all the work on it online, so, it was all lost and I had to start again from scratch. Every cloud has a silver lining though; while that site was down I worked on another template and recorded my first sale with Cashburners on the new template.

Now I have three websites up selling CB products, all getting plenty of traffic and all converting thanks to the quality of my sales copy!

Pure Herbal Power

Sexy Herbal Supplements

Premature Ejaculation Cure

The sales are rolling in nicely now (once you know what you’re doing, CB’s products are actually quite easy to push and convert pretty well) leaving me free to move on to other projects.

Like a lot of people, I’ve learned about earning money online the hard way – by failing. By making slap-dash decisions, by being unable to cut through the bullshit that fill people’s squeeze pages (that’s what they’re for, after all) by putting up amateurish sites or taking free templates from affiliate marketing companies and not making them unique.

I suppose it’s one of the fun things about trying to earn online – the fact that you’re always learning, and that when you do try hard and put the things you learn in to practice, things really start to pay off, and then it becomes really satisfying and your earlier failures actually seem quite funny.

So, a new project for me was to write my first e-book.

I decided the book should be aimed at beginners who are likely to make the same mistakes I did, and to teach them how to avoid making them!

Using a CB template as an example, the book covers the importance of:

  • Research
  • Keyword analysis
  • Competitor analysis
  • Search engine optimisation
  • Link building and link value
  • Traffic generation
  • And, of course, Monetisation!

And because most beginners either don’t have any budget, or are unwilling to spend any money, the book tells people how to get started without paying a penny.

It would hardly be fair, or indeed sensible, to charge for a book about making money for free, so of course the e-book is available to download completely free of charge!

You can even redistribute it or give it away to build your own lists (but not modify it or sell it, unless you purchase resale rights from me at a suitable price).

So, download your free copy of a Step By Step Guide to Earning Online Without Spending Any Money (catchy title, eh?) by clicking the link below.

Enjoy.

Cashburners – another update!

Having been a member of Cashburners for some time now, and having found it relatively easy to sell their products (one must swallow a little pride in order to promote herbal remedies and natural ‘pharmaceuticals’, but the conversion rates of these products make my pride a very cheap commodity) I decided to take the plunge and go all out to promote their full range of products.

Up until now I’d only been pushing three of their products (Hoodia Extreme, Hair Again and Musclemax Xtreme) using the free templates they provide on a free hosting service. Choosing the right keywords to target is essential to get organic traffic for your sites; these products have many competitors from other companies, and of course, there are hundreds of other Cashburners affiliates trying to sell the same products. You need to go after the longer keyword phrases at first, and submit your sites to hundreds of directories using those phrases as your anchor text (or save yourself the touble and have my partner submit for you, for a small fee – visit Manual Free Directory Submisison Service for more details. If you use the ‘contact us’ form rather than the ‘order now’ form, and mention you came from this blog, I might be able to wing you a bit of a discount).
Of course you can use forums and question and answer pages to try and promote, but there are many seasoned CB affiliates making rather a lot of money who are likely to have got there before you, so really your best option is to choose the products you like, set up the free templates they provide (they even provide free hosting on their own servers) and start building your links. It can be frustrating waiting for Google to index your page and recognise your backlinks, but once the traffic starts coming in after a few weeks, it’s well worth the time or money you spent on link building.
If you already have a website or blog in a similar niche to CB products that gets quite a bit of traffic, then you’re sitting pretty – CB provide loads of great banners for each product.
Sadly they’ve now stopped paying affiliates $1 for each referral, but you do get 10% of your referrals’ sales, so if you don’t want to sell the products but have a website or blog about making money or such like, you could use one of the great banners they provide for this purpose, like the one above… or the slightly racier one below…

Like that one? Of course you do. And its one of the cleaner ones.

So I mentioned I’d gone all out for pushing the rest of the CB range – I’ve now swallowed all of my pride in order to promote everything they sell, and have just launched a new site, on their free hosting service. They call it the ‘Cashburners CMS’, and it’s basically an online store template in which you can choose to promote any or all of the CB products. I’ve gone for all, which makes it a little trickier to build enough backlinks or even to choose the right category on directories, as some products fall into ‘health’, some perhaps ‘lifestyle’ and some are decidedly ‘adult’! Of course, most directories refuse submissions from sites with ANY adult oriented content, so you have to take the extra time to find adult niche directories if you choose to promote those products.

So say hello to the latest addition to my portfolio – Top Products (and no that isn’t the keyword anchor text I’m going to be chasing, before you think I’m completely insane) unless you’re under 18, in which case don’t.

Pushing these new products opens up a whole new range of seedy money-making options, and of course once you’ve sold enough pride to push adult products, it’s but a short step to selling your soul to the green-backed god by joining adult affiliate programs.

Mine is gone, and I’ve just joined the wonderful and ubiquitous Adult Friend Finder affiliate program. Shame on me.

Good job I’m an atheist really.

Good luck, and happy selling!

All search engine optimazation (SEO) experts will tell you that in order to have your websites appear highly in search engine results pages (SERPs), you need link juice. Lots of link juice! This means you need as many high-quality backlinks pointing to your pages as possible.

There are many ways in which you can drive traffic to your websites, such as paying for page impressions in traffic exchanges, buying a pay-per-click (PPC) advertising package, posting free classified adverts… or making sure that your pages appear high up in SERPs. Almost anyone will agree that the highest quality, most profitable traffic your website can receive comes from ordinary, every day searches – this is called organic traffic.

Why is organic traffic so important and profitable? Well, people arriving on your sites after searching for a keyword or keyword phrase are obviously already interested in the topic your page is about. If you’re selling a product or service related to that search, organic traffic is worth it’s weight in gold as these people are effectively free leads – I.E if they buy your product or service, that sale is to all intents and purposes 100% profit.

Of course, you could invest in a PPC campaign to guarantee you’ll appear at the top of Google’s pages for a specific keyword or keyword phrase, but many smaller websites just can’t afford to compete with the big-boys, especially in more competitive niches. Sure you’ll make sales from PPC, but what will your profit margins be like then? 10%? 5%? In fact many inexperienced webmasters, without the benefit of a large advertising budget (or even a dedicated advertising team, as in the case of large corporations) end up making a LOSS. This is why most webmasters who are working for themselves or for small companies look to driving organic traffic to their websites as the most cost effective solution to building their business online. In other words, they look to SEO.

The basics of SEO are simply to make your pages appear attractive to search engines, I.E. to have titles, subtitles and headings containing the keywords you are targeting, and to make sure that your content uses your keyword phrases as often as possible whilst still being attractive and useful to the human visitors you are obviously trying to attract. This is the very beginning.

In order to get your pages up to the top spots in SERPs you need lots of links pointing to your sites. This is because search engines ‘think’ that pages with lots of links pointing to them must be more ‘important’ (or relevant) than pages with fewer inbound links. Although it’s a little more subtle than this in practice, in general terms, the more links pointing to your sites, the higher up in the SERPs your site will appear. Remember, if you don’t appear in the top two or three pages for your targeted keywords, your site may as well not exist.

This is where directories come in. Online directories are big business. There are literally thousands of them, most general, some targeting specific niches. The best database of free online directories lists over 1300 of them, with more than 600 with a page rank of 3 or higher. Just imagine what 600 PR3+ backlinks would do to your site’s (or sites’) position in SERPs! Many directories offer a free submission service, with the option of paying a premium for a better listing, a quicker review time or to receive additional ‘deep links’. Some charge a one-off flat fee for inclusion and offer a lifetime lsiting, others require that you place a link back to them somewhere on your site. They all allow you to post a short description and to choose the anchor text for your link. The traffic you will receive from directories is negligible, the point is to get links. Preferably lots of links.

Submitting to directories is tedious and time-consuming. Even if you pay for some kind of semi-automation software that auto-fills the fields for you, submitting your sites to directories is an immensely dull and time-consuming process.

This is where we come in. For competition-busting low prices, we can relieve you of the tedious task of submitting to directories, and do it for you. We provide a friendly and personal yet professional service, and can cater to the specific needs of your business.
